Date Night - Wheel Throwing Crash Course
Date Night — Wheel Throwing Crash Course
A warm, relaxed introduction to pottery at the wheel — perfect for couples or friends looking for a fun, creative evening together.
No experience needed.
Schedule — 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm
Welcome & Setup
Cylinder Demonstration
First Throwing Session
Bowl Demonstration
Second Throwing Session
Cleaning & Wrap-Up
You’ll learn the basic steps of wheel throwing and try your hand at shaping simple forms such as cylinders and bowls.
What You’ll Make
Most guests create a mix of beginner pieces, such as:
2–4 cylinders
2–4 small bowls
Occasionally a small plate
We fire two pieces per participant.
The studio chooses the glaze colour for consistency and safety.
Availability & Waitlist
Date Nights often sell out.
If no spots are available, you can join our waitlist.
We open new Date Night sessions when 4 to 6 people are ready to book.
When this happens, we contact guests in the order they joined (first come, first served).
No payment is required to join the waitlist.
What to Wear
Pottery can get wonderfully messy — please dress comfortably:
Trimmed nails (long nails make throwing difficult)
Casual clothes you don’t mind getting clay on
Old shoes / no jewelry if possible
An apron (optional but helpful)
A simple t-shirt works great
Clay washes out easily, but it’s best to come dressed for creativity.
Before Booking
Please read all details carefully before purchasing your Date Night.
If you have any questions, concerns, or special needs, feel free to contact us — we’re happy to help.
Refund Policy
Date Nights are non-refundable.
Our workshops have very limited seating, and each booking reserves a wheel, clay, materials, and dedicated instructor time.
Because cancellations cannot always be filled at the last minute, we are unable to offer refunds.
If you cannot attend, you may transfer your booking to another person.
Photo Policy
We occasionally take photos during workshops for our website and social media, to help share the experience and inspire others in the community.
If you prefer not to appear in any photos, please check the opt-out box at checkout or tell your instructor when you arrive.
Leaving the box unchecked grants consent to appear in our workshop photos.
Participant Names (Checkout)
Please enter the names of all participants at checkout.
This helps us prepare your wheels, tools, and materials in advance.
A Friendly Note
Date Night is relaxed, humble, creative, and memorable.
Come ready to enjoy the experience, learn something new, and discover a craft that humans have practiced for thousands of years.
Every piece is unique — sometimes lopsided, sometimes surprisingly beautiful — and always worth celebrating.
