Klamath Yellow SP635

$33.00
sold out

SP 635

FIRING RANGE: CONE 4 - 6 (2167-2232ºF)

  • Wet Color: Yellow

  • Firing Color: Oxidation: Red/Orange

  • Texture: Slightly Smooth (< 5% grog)

  • Avg. Shrinkage 2±%: 12% at ∆5

Don't let the name fool you: Klamath Yellow looks bright yellow when wet, but fires to a lush red/orange color. It's a mid range stoneware clay body, great for throwing and (like all Seattle Pottery Supply Klamath clays), works well for pretty much every project you have in mind.

We particularly like it for throwing, handbuilding, dinnerware, flower pots, jiggering/jollying, and pressing. You'll find other stuff it's great for too, we're sure.

25 lb. block.
